1 tsp. fish sauce

Kow Chee Cooking Instructions:

2. Beat the egg and add fish sauce.
3. Dip the ball of sticky rice into the egg and grill until the egg is cooked.
4. Do the same thing for the other side.
Kao Ji is influenced by Laos. You can find it in northeastern region of Thailand. Anyway, all of my Laos friends, I don’t really know if Kao Ji is one of your recipes or not. I’m sure we can find this food in Laos too! 🙂
My husband loves this for breakfast. Few people make it correctly. When finished, the outside should be yellowish and small areas of brown from grilling but not too hard. Should be able to eat the entire sticky rice patty. Another thing that few people get right is you must add some fish sauce for the salt. Otherwise, Kow Chee without salt is boring.
Sab Mak (delicious)

I’m going to try this later on this week! I can’t wait!
