Nope, it isn’t Thai food! You cannot eat it. Well, probably someone in Thailand might try to eat it if they found it in their garden, but I have never heard of anyone eating this amazing bug!
We found this beautiful mantis at a nature resort close to our home. The insect is called the Malaysian Orchid Mantis, but the owner of the resort said he’ll call it the Thai Orchid Mantis. Makes sense to us! This was the most stunningly beautiful insect any of us had ever seen. It mimics the pink and white orchid flower so well that it is very hard to spot! Thanks to hubby for the photo!
